What Are Skates Wheels?
Skates wheels are the round shaped rubber/plastic parts that are attached to the frame of your skate. There is many different types of skates wheels as each type suits a different discipline.
Different Types of Skates Wheels
First up we have the quad skate wheels which are cylinder shaped, have much wider surface to your standard aggressive/inline skate wheel and are usually rounded on the side facing out and flat on the side facing the frame. These wheels are usually between 50mm - 70mm in diameter and 70A - 80A hardness.
Inline skate wheels are much thinner compared to the quad skates and the surface area is small and rounded to give you more maneuverability. These wheels are also much longer in diameter raging between 70mm - 125mm and 80A - 90A hardness which also allows for higher speeds.
Lastly we have the aggressive skates wheels. These wheels are very similar to inline skates wheels however, they tend to be the same width as inline skates wheels but with more flat surface area but that does depend on a model. These wheels are much smaller than the inline skates wheels as they usually come between 50mm - 70mm in diameter. Hardness wise they tend to be similar to inline skates as they usually come at 80A - 90A hardness which allows them to speed up faster and maintain speed when transitioning from one trick to another.
