Inline Skates
Inline skates also known as fitness skates are perfect for cruising and working out. These skates are made from light materials in order to reduce their weight and reach higher speeds quicker.
Inline skates are a lot more popular than the classic roller skates as inline skates can be used for a number of different disciplines and are a lot more stable than roller skates.
Inline Skates Frames
In most cases, inline skates have either composite or aluminium frames. These two materials are the most weight efficient and suitable for inline skates however, it is important to note that plastic frames are much weaker and in most cases only recommended to riders weighing up to 80kg but that can depend on the model. When it comes to aluminium frames, you really can't go wrong with them. Extremely strong and lightweight, slightly heavier than plastic frames but most riders are willing to sacrifice the weight for the extra strength.
Inline Skates With Brakes Vs Without Brakes
Whether you decide to go with inline skates with or without brakes, it will all depend on the level of your ability. If you are a beginner who is only starting off, brakes will be a necessity to prevent you from hurting yourself when learning. However, if you are an experienced rider who knows how to brake with wheels alone and has a good overall balance on the skates, it might be useful to get rid of the brake in order to reduce the weight!
