You Should Always Wear a Helmet!
At B.Y.B we always get those questions.. "Should I wear a helmet?". The answer is a very strong YES! Whether you are skateboarding, rollerblading, BMX-ing or doing other extreme sport disciplines, it is extremely important to wear a helmet. A helmet can protect you from any future injuries which unfortunately in some cases can be long-term.
Helmets come in a semi-circular shape that covers all sides of the head. Most of the helmets that are used for skating, blading, BMX-ing or scooting have the back of the helmet slightly extended to protect more area at the back of your head. Along with the great protection, helmets have a very comfortable fit and ventilation system that prevents your head from over-heating.
How Should My Helmet Fit?
A helmet should have a snug yet comfortable feeling to it. If the helmet is too tight, it will be uncomfortable and in some cases sore to wear. It is also important not to have the helmet too loose, if your helmet wobbles/moves when you are riding, it means that the helmet is too loose making it less effective.
In order to avoid buying the wrong size of helmet, you should measure your heads circumference and choose a size accordingly to it.
