BMX Seats
BMX seats are designed to be strong yet comfortable in order to withstand whatever the rider throws at it while absorbing the impact during landings. BMX seats tend to be pointing upwards in order to give the BMX rider more control when pedaling and catching tricks.
Different Types of BMX Seats
There are four main types of BMX seats.. Pivotal, tripod, combo and railed.
Pivotal seats are the most common and are attached to your bike using a top bolt which goes through the top of your seat. The angle on pivotal seats can be adjusted making it a perfect choice for riders who are very specific with their seat placement. Tripod seats on the other hand are mounted at the bottom and the angle cannot be adjusted making them a little more stirdy however, less convenient.
Railed seats come with two rails under the saddle giving the rider that feeling of stability and allows you to grip the seat a lot better when catching tricks. Lastly combo seats, also known as integrated seats are the seats that arrive attached to the seat-post.
