What Is Hardware?
Skateboard hardware is the nuts and bolts that are required to attach your trucks to the skateboard deck. Despite your hardware being a very small part of the setup, skateboard hardware is extremely important.
It is extremely important to make sure that your nuts and bolts nicely fastened to assure you with stability and safety on a skateboard.
What Size Hardware Should I Go For?
It is important to go with a correct hardware size as it needs to be long enough to go through the deck, truck base-plate and have enough space left over to tighten up your nuts to the end of the bolt.
If you aren't running riser pads on your skateboard, it is perfectly fine to go with 7/8" or 1" skateboard hardware. However, if you are running riser pads, depending on the size of the riser pads, you should go ahead with 1.25"-1.5" skateboard hardware.
