What Do Padsets Consists Of?
Most common version of
a padset consists of knee, elbow and wrist guards. However, there are
other padsets that might consist of other types of protection and
might not necessarily come as a 3-Pack, they might only be 2-Packs.
Padset is a great solution for all riders but mainly the entry level riders who are looking for a cheap set of pads that will protect the most essential areas.
Padsets VS Separate Pads
We always get asked at B.Y.B whether it is better to go with a full padset or is it better to get each of the pads separately. The answer to this question is.. It all depends on whether you want only one or multiple parts of your body protected and the level of riding you are at.
If you are a beginner/intermediate rider and you are looking for a cheap alternative that will keep you protected, a padset is the way to go. The set might not consist of the best pads on the market but it will have all the areas that you are looking to protect covered.
When it comes to buying pads separately, it's a good idea when you only want to protect a specific part of your body or you're very advanced in your discipline and you are looking for higher quality pads that will take all the abuse you throw at them.
