What Is a BMX Bike?
BMX stands for Bicycle Motocross, it's a type of cycling discipline which is suitable for all ages and abilities. The sport has originated in California in the early 1970s and it is an understatement to say the least that it has evolved since. BMX bikes are now seen all around the world. It is a sport that connects people.
BMX's are famous for their appearance. They are a lot smaller than your road or mountain bike and tend to come with a lot thicker tires. There are plenty of reasons behind it, a smaller bike automatically means there will be less weight coming with it allowing the rider to perform tricks more fluently. A set of nice wide tires is there to give them a more stable landing. BMX bikes have been originally designed for the off-road rides however, as the sport evolved, BMX's have became more of a skate-park/street machines that will handle all sort of things you throw at them.
