Standard Or Oversized Stunt Scooter Bars
When choosing your bars, you should consider whether you want standard or oversized bars.
Standard bars have an outer diameter of 32mmm with the inner diameter being 28mm and the oversized bars come with 35mm outer diameter and a 28mm/32mm inner diameter.
It will all depend on the clamp and the compression system on your scooter whether you will have to go with a standard size or oversized bars. For example, if you are running IHC compression system, you will need standard size bars with a slit in order for them to fit.
What Material Is Used To Make Scooter Bars?
There are 3 main different types of materials used which are as follows: Steel, Aluminium and Titanium.
Steel scooter bars tend to be a little heavier however, extremely strong at the same time.
Aluminium bars on the other hand are lighter than the steel bars but are not as strong as the steel bars. Many scooter riders are willing to sacrifice the strength for the slight weight reduction.
Last but not least we have the titanium bars. These bars are not only super lightweight but they are also extremely durable. These bars are much more expensive than the other two types but if you shred a lot, it will pay off in the long run as the quality really matches the price.
Y-Bars Vs T-Bars
There are two main types of scooter bars available on the market and these are the Y-Bars and T-Bars. Y-Bars tend to come as a three piece bar where there are 3 separate bars welded together although it is not always the case. T-Bars are 2-piece bars that come in a shape of the letter T and are basically made up of one thicker and one thinner tube welded together forming a bar.
Each of these bars have a different feeling to it and whether you decide to go with Y-Bars or T-Bars, it is entirely up to you and what feeling you prefer.
